Hi guys, need a tent recommendation.

Specs need to be
6 Berth
Single roomed, that pitches flysheet first
Hardy and as cheap as possible and preferably available in a shop in london as post is in ruins at the moment.

I have my eye on a Wynnster Shrike 6

The specs are here http://www.tents-direct.co.uk/show_tent.php?productid=1093

Anyone know if this is a good tent? or if it looks ok, i know relatively little about tents.

Cheers all :D

I think you get what you pay for. We just bought a Eurohike for £120 as our Sunncamp (another cheapy) was getting ragged after 6 yrs. Obviously there are dearer/better tents but at that price I am sure you will get good value from it.

I think it's quite rare to get single-room 6berth tents these days - the multi-room tent has taken over :(
One of the reasons I started looking at Tipis (don't do it - dangerous for the wallet).

I was thinking about getting a tipi next year, don't worry, i know they smack the wallet good :lmao:

I had my eye on the Vango Idaho 600, but i don't really know.

My mum wants to stick with the tent we have now, its a four person two room tent :censored: so my wallet is taking a hit this time, i can't sleep in that god forsaken tent anymore.

We need a 6 berth though with the two dogs, one of which is about the same size and weight as a person :lmao:

I hate those multi room tents, they just remind me of big commercial campsites which i hate, plus they are not very good, even if you spend over £300 for one.
