tapatalk someone explain it please?

Could someone be kind enough to explain in non technical words of one syllable explain what tapatalk is? What merits does it have? Is it free? Would it benefit me now I seem to do most my browsing on an android powered phone?

Its easier to use a forum with tapatalk then it is using the web browser on a phone.
Ok the words are more than one syllable each but its basically what I said.
