Been smelling this in the woods.

What does it go with?

I've never used it myself but saw PatrickM using it with brown trout on landward the other night.

Any other ideas?

Known as an aid to the stomach in the 1500's and introduced by the Romans I read.

Is that why Gaviscon tastes of aniseed?

I've been too scared to id them, i'm terrible with flora.

Have you got somewhere to grow one ?
I find if I take something I'm pretty sure of home, or it's seeds/bulbils and grow it on in the garden, then I see it day in, day out, right through the year. Makes it easy to spot when I'm out :D
I've got seeds to grow on for next year for sweet Cicely, if they all come I'm in trouble :yikes:

cheers,

You haven't seen my garden though :D
It's a lush green jungle of everything from munchies to dyeplants
