Suggestions for kit

Hi

Just wondering if anyone can suggest some shops in the Essex area nearish Wickford or websites to get some kit that wont break the bank. Im new to the bushcraft scene. any help will be much appreciated.

Hey mate,

Welcome to the site, I'm an Essex lad myself! There's plenty of places on the web and Ebay etc.

However if you want to look before you buy, always good for the novice, there is a market stall on market day in colchester (if you know it) that sells alot of military surplus gear, pluss a few nice little starter items, such as hexi stove, mess tins and the odd fire steel.

A smaller pack, but one that's very good, basic and hard wearing is the LK35 made by the Swedish, you may have problems finding them at the moment as they seem to be in short supply.
