Im no expert but would a cast iron kettle be better as it would hold the heat longer? I know its heavier but would it not be left on site all the time or would someone take it home after the meet?

Being unlined isnt a problem, ours did take a few boils to get rid of the taste of what ever it was cast in but after that ir was fantastic. If it wasnt so heavy we would have brought it home with us.

The one's we've got are pretty well used from the last round of flapping about in the wind. and they are 2 different sizes. I just thought new structure, new roof, and a standard size to work to.
