I would report it mate especially with the sharps you had as they may get used in some other way and if you have you prints on them it may come back to you if there recovered. Your choise though.

I will report it tomorrow first thing in the morning, I hope they are not used in the wrong way... I will never be leaving anything again!

Certainly best to report it, the PCSO was talking ballocks. If you have photos of your kit take them in too. You may find someone handed it in thinking it had been lost, stolen or dumped.

I dont mind reporting the blade as id hate for it to be used in the wrong way and if theres a punishment for carrying it ill have to accept responsibility as it was my fault for leaving it unattended- that said the police are normally tollerant when i have a knife as its always in a bag unless used when im out of sight and my cousen is a police officer.
I do have some photos of the kit which i will take with me.

Thankyou to everyone who has helped its really appreciated and if you ever need help i hope ill be useful!
Ben :)

see - if you'd taken a bit of carpet you could have hidden it under that!

on a serious note - thats rough! im always paranoid about leaving kit unattended, but i've got friends that'll leave £500 worth of kit in their tent and wander off up a hill.

We all do things like that everyday though, I've left my car in a carpark with a load of kit in it before now. I've left the back door of the house unlocked and gone to the shop, thankfully neither have been robbed. If it has been stolen it is a sad state of affairs, hopefully a trip to the local police station will get some results.

nah - i never leave my door unlocked - soon as i come in its locked and as for leaving kit in a car i really dont like doing that either even if its under the cover type thing (estate)

if im out and about with kit i'd rather lug it about than leave it lying

She is a lazy so and so.

Any crime without witnesses could have been committed by anyone, good grief it's what the Police do- investigate :togo:

Even if it's just entered in the office daily blog for information,it may jog pc's memory of someone seen with a sac nearby etc...

I definitely have a Nalgene you can have for the asking mate.pm me your details.
I can likely find a few bits to put in it too.
The Saudis have the right idea about thieves imho!
Good Luck with the new kit.I knew that the members here would not let you down.
PS I'd start checking your local car boot sales for your missing kit asap and circulate pics of your stuff to everyone you know.
Cheers , Simon
