I keep a bunch of those splayd things in the teaspoon pot in the shed at the tea point! Very handy things although they keep migrating to the cutlery draw in the kitchen. I'm just in the process of fitting one to a chunky turned handle for my Dad, just sawn /filled the handle down to fit.

incidentally I finally got around to putting a drain hole in the pot, it was a absolute nightmare, far worse than drilling out the outline for two small knives from tungsten steel! It ruined 3 cheap drills before I resorted to a expensive brand name drill and even then despite it being also for ceramic tiles, to quote the packet I had to bare down on it until I was practically off my feet! No wonder they use ceramics for armour!

Didn't take long to do them at all, the first coat of yacht varnish is drying and when its hard ill give it a light rub down and put a thin top coat on.
