I couldn't find any thicker spalted pieces so did the best spoon I could with the size!
just carved it with a penknife.

there is a lot of it on the beach where I live, but its mainly little twigs about an inch in diameter maximum.
Will see what the storms bring in, lots of soft coral at the moment but cant carve that!

spoon broke :( the spoon knife I bought was too big for it and it just snapped.
Does anybody have any ideas for a 10" long 1" wide stick of the same wood?
too small for spoons, too nice to carve away to a chopstick!

tool handle maybe?

That's a shame it broke but it sounds as if you've enough material to carve a butter or paper knife :)
