Just an idea if Salad can get the wood any thats left over can be used for our next meet because if its in my woods the same rule applies. I'm happy to chip in. Also I have a parachute canopy we could use as a group shelter, or is that a bit OTT?
Jon you can always give us a song round the campfire, then you'll be contributing toward the entertainment :)

guying a chute is no worries, any old cord will do, youre only hooking it up out of the way, no need to pull it "tight"

i'll assume its got a centre vent with a ring, best to lob a rope up over a suitable branch, tie in to the centre vent, pull up to the branch. tie "guys" out and about

simple! :p

ok, it rarely is other than in theory as you never find a ring of trees in a circle with a nice branch overhanging its epicentre and so on

you bring the shute, ill sort the ropes and sort some cord (not para-cord, too expensive for that job)

Whats the topography like there, are there trees for hammocks? or will we have be on the ground? if so, is there enough space for us all or should we allow for the possibility of having to pitch a small tent or bivvy slightly off camp?

Hope it's a relevant question

Poddle it is a stretch of woodland with high and low points. I expect we will be spread out but try to have a community area and then everyone an get as close to that as possible.

I have only ever ahd a few ppl up there before and never more than a 4 over night.
We will have to play it by ear...
But there is plenty of room for hammocks or ground dwelling

If you feel the need to go tea total that's up to you. Or we could come and tuck you in, if you think you need it..

(thanks for that I needed a laugh)

This make me wonder.... have you two had a pre moot meet? and if so why wheren't we all invited so we could all meet before mooting...

(btw *** is a moot and who came up with that name)

Edit: is ok I found this; from Moot as an Old English language (Anglo-Saxon) term for meeting:

ROFLMAO

no hammock... where did this hammock idea come from? lol

didnt zip up my sleeping bag/bivvybag, during night, i ended up with my rear stuck out through the open zips and touching the side of the tarp

hence cold and wet! lol
