I have been having some fun carving spreaders lately, and found that there is a bit more to what makes a good spreader than I initially thought. I hoped I could start a thread where people show spreaders/butter paddles they carved as an inspiration to myself and others. I always enjoy seeing peoples work. I`ll start with some of mine:

Nice work there Two Socks. Which wood are they from? Looks like birch?

I keep intending to make a couple. For myself, l still have a spatula that I made when I was at school thirty years ago which I use almost every day!!

Nice one. I like that you left the bark on there.

Here is one I did quite a while ago. I liked the lines to look at but it isn`t nice in use. The handle is too thin and the sharp angles make it a bit awkward.
