Setting out for Adventures in Experimental Archaeology

As it turns out, one of the tutors at my college is a leatherworker.

I showed her one of my shot cups, and she was very impressed (Even though Im not half the leatherworker some people here are...)

Shes talking about a bucket as a project.

And to do a photo diary of how it was made.

Anyone ever done anything like this?

Any advice?

It'll be an expensive use of leather that's for sure. What's the purpose of the bucket? Just to carry water, or to stay open and maintain its form?
