Had a great weekend near Sennybridge with Nigel, my lad Luke and Lee Shanahan. The weather was a mix of clear, rain, thunder and hale but great company and a dry parachute ensured a good time was had by all.

Young Lee set to work making bread and very good it was too, with cheese and garlic it knocks spots off any bannock bread

Lee also made a rather good walking stick/rod, could he in fact be the ‘Son of Ray’

The area is fantastic and I am looking forward to our next meet there in four weeks J

I Like the look of that bread good view down to the site, did you drink the river water ? and any fish in it?

River water was fine, milbank bag then heat to 80c and away you go. The only fish in the river are Trout and Salmon

the bread was NICE, lee put some butter and garlic on some and toasted them for the night meal.

the area was lovely shame we only had the few days.

That bread looks good too - kinda like an oversized muffin.

One small point though;

To wear wellies with any kind of style or panache, they really should be folded over at the top.

Get it sorted eh?
