Sorry to have to share that Pete (Ogri the Trog) passed away earlier today. He's been on the forums for nearly 20 years, a Mod and a friend for much of that time. He'll be sorely missed.

Condolences to family and friends. Always sad to lose someone, and even more-so when they should’ve had plenty more years yet.
I am truly saddened and shocked to hear of Pete passing. 
I'd always enjoyed spending time with him at the moots over the years and he'll be missed for sure. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Truly sorry to hear that; my thoughts are with his friends and family. I only met him the once and wish I had spent more time around a campfire with him.

He was a gentle giant, a brilliant friend, and he is going to be so very missed.
He welcomed a 'roving band of feral Scots' to Wales, stood in the circle while we flew a Saltire in their skies and offered welcome to any who came by in peace.....passed the quaich around and he laughed with us in sheer joy.
I hope life is kind to his family, that they have good friends around them.

I have fond memories of his wisecracking at the Moot, particularly the last summer Moot with his "helpful advice" regarding erecting the parachute near reception.
