That isn't good news. You take care of yourself Steve and we shall see you out and about in the new year.

Neil, Clare and myself are hoping to hit the site shortly after 3pm tomorrow (Thursday), sliding towards 5pm perhaps.

If anyone wants to throw a spare charged 12v leisure battery into the car then we could make very good use of it under the parachute. Oh and any of those cheapy butane gas cylinders.

Neil, Clare and myself are hoping to hit the site shortly after 3pm tomorrow (Thursday), sliding towards 5pm perhaps.

I've an agreement in place with the site for those travelling proper distances so don't worry if traffic and travel goes your way and arrival's earlier than you expect, just come straight down to the pitch .

Oh ... and know where your torches are and have them easily accessible before you arrive Even during the winter the site is quite dark at night (not quite crypt ) and it's been known for (sober) folks to wander around in all kinds of odd directions ~ having a torch (lit) will help us to plot your meanderings

The problem with being a student is all the freshers bring the plague with them and I'm now feeling like death warmed up!
I'm hoping it'll clear enough for me to at least pop along for the day on Saturday, but if not hope all goes well (and you don't get eaten to death by RC's multitude of bugs)!

Might have to postpone my arrival to Saturday. Stuff I was planning to do Friday morning has been rained off (work) so I need to do it Friday afternoon if the rain eases a bit. Sorry about the para shelter.

Was a good, relaxed Meet ~ if somewhat overly damp at times

Thanks to all those who made it along, sorry to have missed those who were interrupted by real life. Hopefully those who had long trips back today have had good traffic.


The Goat was COOL! and our thanks go to both Scooby for coming down and doing the do and the site having the kit to make the job a lot quicker Hopefully that newly bramble denuded area will serve well as a central communal area . When he gets the chance Scooby will get back down and munch the Goat through from the area he cleared down to the original (pre December 2008) communal area ~ which should allow us to make use of more of the pitch

Another brilliant and relaxing meet at RC. The Two Dogs Bush shirt as you can see was toasty warm, and added that extra barrier from the damp wet weather. Many thanks as usual go to Decorum for organising, and friends old and new for making it my favourite meet.

I think I missed out on most of the rain and the meet in general! I was at TORM for all of the daylight hours and then for much of the few evening hours before sleep I was either eating or supervising Midnight Hound with the cooking (thanks again Chef! ).
