Hi as some of you know i have a fair collection of RAF issue survival gear.

i'd like to know more about the survival gear from the cold war period to modern times, i can't find any info or pics on the net apart from some survival kits on Ebay.

is there anyone who used to teach the RAF or someone who also has a collection that i could quiz? :)

also i guess as a swap i can show photos and tell you about my kit.

cheers
Richard

You need to find an ex- or current Squipper (Safety Equipment Fitter). These are the guys who check and put together the survival packs, dinghys, clothing, helmets, parachutes, etc, for the aircrew.

If there isn't one on here, try somewhere like the 'e-goat' website, the RAF's version of ARRS. I have got a set of RAF survival instructions somewhere (basic stuff) but nothing more.
