possible SS canteen group buy?

Anybody interested in ordering a canteen like this one?

Currently half price at $30

These are the best SS canteens I have seen around and fit inside the US army cup or crusader cup, but I have been put off previously by the huge shipping costs [$100 on a $60 order – i.e. 2 canteens]

If I order 10 canteens for example [1 canteen = $30] the shipping is $165

So the cost for 1 would be $46.50 posted [or £30 posted] - significantly saving on shipping costs

obviously the more flasks ordered the less the postage

Anybody up for it?

To answer your question

The US canteen holds 24.7 fl oz OR 0.7304661832812499 litres

The US army canteen = 1 US liquid quart [I believe] OR 0.946352946 litres

So the US canteen is smaller than the US canteen

Also - anymore interested parties? we need an order of around 10 to make it worthwhile

I'm in for that. Was looking at them but as you say - the shipping was terrible for just one. Not trying to teach grandma to suck eggs, but have you counted in Customs & Excise charges for the 10?

I would Email then to see if they can sort a decent postage price it definatly dosnt cost that much should be nearer $50 - $75 in a USPS Flat rate box etc

bearing in mind you will also be charged 20% VAT on the postage costs as well as the goods price
