I'm looking for more upto date infor for the wooded areas around Loch Etricht in Perthshire. Both OS maps and google earth show woodland but is it still there and not cut. Does anyone localish know?
The reason being that half a dozen 15th Century re-enactors, including myself, are planning a trip in kit and we have been looking at this area as its wooded and next to water. The current plan is to walk from Bridge of Etricht up to the loch, camp and return.
The plan is to carry this out next February, and we will have a 'modern safety man' carrying non authentic emergancy equipment should we need it.
Is there anything likely to be occuring at this time of year, ie deer stalking, that would restrict us in our travels?
