Knives come and knives go, but these two I will never part with.

I've never gone back to the Frost spoon knives since I got this crooked knife.

This is my allround bushcraft/camp knife and is like an additional appendage.

Yes it is the 9" blade, I vinegar blacked it as soon as I got it and it's turned out to be a cracking blade.

I use it for chopping and battoning jobs and I've even struck sparks from the spine with natural flint for fire lighting.

Yup, it certainly looked and felt like a tremendous knife. Next time my brother is over in Norway, I'll make sure he brings me something similar back!

I like the grind on your bushy Michiel, is it weakened significantly being so high?


That sheath - hmmm, giving me ideas..............

The blade is 6mm at the thickest part The grind has to be so high in order to work well. It's not weakened by this.
I wanted a kydex sheath because the knife is already heavy (allthough it's got a tapered tang). My next one will have a leather one I hope.

- ML knives back woods knife... 1095 steel and aged hickory handle..
