Knives come and knives go, but these two I will never part with.

I've never gone back to the Frost spoon knives since I got this crooked knife.

:sad6: , only just spotted your question.

Yes it is the 9" blade, I vinegar blacked it as soon as I got it and it's turned out to be a cracking blade.

I use it for chopping and battoning jobs and I've even struck sparks from the spine with natural flint for fire lighting.

Yup, it certainly looked and felt like a tremendous knife. Next time my brother is over in Norway, I'll make sure he brings me something similar back!

The blade is 6mm at the thickest part :D The grind has to be so high in order to work well. It's not weakened by this.
I wanted a kydex sheath because the knife is already heavy (allthough it's got a tapered tang). My next one will have a leather one I hope.

- fiddleback forge nessmuk, o-1 steel and rosewood scales..
- ML knives back woods knife... 1095 steel and aged hickory handle..
- ML knives hatched woods knife... 1095 and black walnut..
