Hi All,

Just before I cut my new paracord, I was wondering from those more experienced in such things if there is any such thing as optimum length?

I was thinking of perhaps 30 - 35' and 7'ish for the guys, any ideas?

Thanks

:)

No idea how long my guys are TBH but I use 15 ft of ridgeline on my 3x3 tarp - 6ft each end to work with - its usually too much but I don't wanna get caught short.

Mine are about 3 meter-ish (aprx. 10 ft about ... sort of ... come on - dare to live: use metric :nana: ). Ridgeline is about 7.5 mtr (22-23 ft). Guy lines are long enough for my uses, ridgeline could be a bit longer (1 mtr).

I have 7 meters for the ridge and 4 meters for each corner. The ridge is about 5mm cord and the corners are 2-3mm. Longer is better, you can always tie off what you don't need. May want to keep some spare about in case you need to add on it those odd situations. Cheers!
