There's an artist over at Deviant Art who I admire the heck out because he ticks so many of my own psycholgical hang up boxes. So I can identify a bit with that OCD man and his pencils... as does Tom Preston I suspect. As for Raikey I think the man needs a valium with his coffee

I love to see it- it's the drive for perfection in an area I can't even see yet, an attitude to working which I think is actually admirable. I'm a rough, quick worker so I admire them all the more because I'll never be like that or master (mmmm mistress) of a craft like they are

It's all so pointless though. If you get to a stage where it works, leave it and do something else.

Ask Stuart Mitchell what OCD is... his answer would be 'the thing JD has in regards to knives'. Followed by an exasperated sigh and a large amount of facepalming.
I suspect it was done in the same spirit as "fly fishing - by J R Hartley". If there is demand for something then it will get made.
Fair enough. I didn't look that close at either of the links to be honest. I started to read then my eyes glazed over and I started to feel funny...
