oy oy lads from the north east, im in whickham, i get out with my son, doing a bit of hammock bashin, looking forward to getting no a few lads who is local to me, atb lads, john
Alright john theres a few of us in the northeast look out for the meets section one coming up in may I think
oy oy lads, havnt been on here for a while, any meets coming up ?? ive been out with my son quite a lot recently, and had some cracking quality time with the lil man, if there are any planned meets, let me no, ill try my very hardest to be there, would be good to meet up with a few northeast lads into the same thing as me, cheers john

I went all the way through Scouts from being a Beaver to a Scout Leader, even managed to get to some international camps and did two stints at Camp America as a hiking and canoeing trip leader. Currently living in Felling. Been out of the loop for a while but off for my first hammocking session this weekend.
There's normally 3/4 of us that have a few weekends away a year, but would certainly be up for more

Geordie Ben which camps you end up in the States? I'm a north east lad myself. Currently living and working in the west coast of Scotland.... But u did the US scout camp summer working and was at Treasure Valley in Massachusetts in 1997 and philmont in New Mexico in 2000.

Sounds grand. Which troop were you with in Newcastle? I was with 1st forest hall Benton district. Got my queen's scout award then was a leader with 1st Whitley Bay as a mate of mine was also a leader there.

My home troop, went through both Cubs and Ventures, Scouts was full of ###### (people I didn't like) so I gave it a miss.

Hi there North Easters, I'm Adam, 32 from Newcastle! Just starting out in the world of bushcraft and already enjoying weekends at Brockwell. Been into the outdoors my whole life and love to go walking and wild camping especially in the Lakes. Was a cadet but never a scout - actually been thinking about volunteering my time to both as an adult after recently taking part in the Prince's Trust programme which has rekindled my love for the outdoors. Recently discovered hammocks and loving my DD! Been fine tuning my fire lighting & tarpology skills lately but quite fancy getting into some leather work and making myself a sheath!
