What good is making all that money if he can't use it to step back and look after his family. Good for him for making a decision that's best for his family and not just chasing endless views.
Shame to see him stop as a viewer, of course, but it sounds like he's doing the right thing for him.

That's a real shame as I really enjoyed his adventures and watching his family grow as they went on them with him.
There’s a huge back-catalogue to watch on Youtube if you’re interested. 1,000+ vids and most of them pretty bushcrafty in one way or another. I even enjoyed the homestead builds and fishing vids too.
Not the first and won't be the last of the YouTubers who've made money and then decided to call it quits because of the pressures and or intrusions on their personal life. He's had a good run and I presume there''ll be residuals from his content so fair play to him.
I've watched and enjoyed their videos for years, it will be a shame to see them go, but I quite understand and respect their reasons.

He's a great guy, he was in West Wales year before last and I got to meet him, humble and very family orientated. he thoguht it was cool that he'd lived in Bristow, USA and my surname is Bristow. He'd mentioned before that life dynamics were changing and it was getting harder to justify the time away from his family, so it absolutely makes sense he's made this decision.
His videos are great, they're down to earth, he's comfortable and skilled and what I particularly like is that he make what I perceive to be big challenging things feel like they're doable.

It's a great shame to see him take a step back, but good on him for being true to himself and saying enough is enough.
His videos are a beacon of light on youtube and stand head and shoulders above many other outdoorsy channels. I think a big part of that success is because he presents his videos in a very open and honest way. He never professed to be an expert and tell you what you should or shouldn't be doing and he seemingly resisted the urge to pursue brand deals and channel sponsorships (of which I'm sure he was inundated with offers). He kept his focus on producing good honest content and I think that is what people appreciated.
