new addition to my woodspirit family

picked up a nice piece of hawthorn at the last north wood meet during a tidy up, so i thought i would have a little carve. its 1 3/4" wide and stands 16" high, hope you like him

Whilst staring, I'm usually thinking "How on Earth, did he/ she do that?"

If it doesnt bend it doesnt take any load Yes you could in theory compromise strength if you removed too much mass but it would have to be a lot. The formula if I remember right is one to eight so 1cm thicker is as good as 8cm width in mass/bending terms so you should have plent to play with.

Gotta be worth a try at some point, i am game if you are
