Nalgene bottles for UK Meths storage?

Why a nalgene bottle, aren't they a bit expensive for fuel storage?

You could just use a small pet-bottle.

Chiefly because I have some small nalgenes doing nothing and want to take just enough fuel for one brew without storing it in the trangia.

PS I keep the meths in a 1l sigg fuel bottle on longer trips.

As others have said, go with the Trangia fuel bottle. For some reason, meths attacks some plastic, I have had problems in the past with Sigg fuel bottles for instance, where the stopper just seems to weld to the bottle after prolonged use.

Meth does not corrode PET plastic, your normal 0.5 liter coke bottle. Neither does petrol. Aluminium is much easier to corrode then plastic.

Nalgene bottles are excellent. However, they are a bit pricey. I carry around the meth in a bottle of Dettol. They are indestructible!!!
