Have you told them about the possible change of name ......TPP.:censored:

Ah, I almost forgot about that ... thanks for the reminder :D .

For a long time I've been considering a slight change in the way the Midlands Meet threads are titled.
The impetus for this is that the Midlands region covers such a huge area and naming the Meets held at Rough Close 'Midlands Meet' could, conceivably, cause problems for others trying to organise Meets in the region.
Because of this I've tried to take inspiration from those who have attended, what we've done and also the site we've been using ...

Now, three 'influences' have pushed me towards this new naming:

We come under the umbrella of bushcraft and its activities.
The general affability of the members of this site who come to the Meets.
Rough Close has a large and healthy avian population :lmao: :censored: .

The new non regional name for the Meets ....

The Pheasant Pluckers :D .

A couple of pics of my own ...

My kit, minus the medical and trade stuff.

Thanks to Dec and everyone else involved for a great meet as usual.

I should just say, before I am accused of trying to start a new bushcraft fashion, that the cloak was a requested demo of how to fold a cloak the way the Vikings did to make a hood as well.

I will post some pictures of my own when I get half a minute to sort them out.

I'll second that. The cloak and penannular broach are mine - Wayland wore them for the pics because I really hate being photographed.

Cheers Dec, was a really good weekend, good to see everyone again and to see a few new folk.

Thanks to Decorum for sorting the meet, I'm well up for the next one! This was my first so I didn't know what to expect but it was grand. I'll make more effort to talk to everyone at the next one for sure. I think I've been camping on my own too much recently! Thanks to Mesquite, John, Drew and Scruff for advice, selling me things I need, selling me things I didn't need and free fuse for the tinder kit! Cheers fellas, hope to see you all at the next one!

Here is one of the JF bargains photographed on a bargain from Wayland, plus my camp at the meet
