The series features Kevin McCloud's attempt at building a sustainable eco-friendly cabin in the woods. To do this he has decided to use only the materials locally available in the woodland where the cabin is to be built.

So its a fantasy then? Show us how to get planning permission Kev and we'd all do it.

Well in terms of the planning permission he built it on a trailer but put it in a hole so the trailer was hidden. It was a bit of fun. I'll watch the next one.

Watched it the first time round, seemed a bit more focused on the bits and bobs inside the cabin rather than the build. Enjoyed it though.

Sounds a lot like "Off the Grid with Les Stroud", has anyone saw that? It's a 90 min doc about him building the same thing only it's in Canada and they have to deal with a lot of weather issues too because they are so remote. This is the only video i can find of it, but not the best quality.
