Livebaiting for trout

I want to catch trout in the river blyth in the north east. Does anyone livebait a minnow with a bubble float for trout, perch or bass ect?
I am aware you have to trap and use the minnows at the same venue

Trout eat anything iv caught them even on chewing gum atomic Apple hubba bubba as a kid ,white bread,cheese,prawns,lobworms personally id freeline the Minnow when the season restarts.
