Leather hide wanted

Hiya,

looking to buy decent full hides of varing thicknesses of leather. preferable buckskin, elk skin and the thick buffalo hide. these are to make falconry gauntlets to my specifications as im never happy with the ones i buy.

if anyone can help in any way it would be appreciated a lot!

Hi Legal Eagle and welcome to BCUK.

Are you quite sure you want full hides? Do you know just how big a full hide is? Most hides, sides and shoulders are priced "per square foot" and I normally buy sides that are in the region of 15 to 17 square feet of leather. A full hide would be twice that. Thats a hell of a lot of gauntlets in anyones money! A selection of full hides would set you back a good few quid too....

Make sure you understand how big a piece you need for the job in hand and then take a look at Le Prevo as already mentioned.
