Told the story of Quebec and showed a brief look into the 7 years war. There was an interesting bit about how the natives had skills that British had no idea about....

Yes, it is.

It is quite interesting about the start of North America and how it was shaped by the British and French. But also how the British Military worked.

It was a toss up between that or the Richard Hammond thing on slow motion filming Alison had control over the remote last night (yes, I know, I must improve) so we ended up watching The Hamster, cos he's cute. Her opinion I hasten to add, not mine.

Naturally we can't get the iplayer here in France, just freeview on the digibox.

A good programme, showing a highly trained army (The British) come un-stuck when trying to fight a highly mobile and unorthadox army; it seems some things never change
