I've just ordered a pair of these as I like the idea of them not just for the woods but also for my bike in wet conditions. Sort of more in the line of chaps than trousers but they are advertised as waterproof and breathable. Has anyone ever tried them? Any thoughts or comments on them.

I have tried them - and they are pretty good!
The design realy helps avoid overheating and bulk in the crotch area (!) which makes for good freedom of movement (!!).
The legs have no cuff adjustment so either use trouser elastics or get used to flappy cuffs.
Unusual but good o/ts the design is effective - especially when you are in wet long grass etc rather than teeming rain - but you will need a long coat to keep your bits dry when it realy pours down....
