is it game or bushknife??

Hi lads can't decide whether this is a good game knife or a bush knife its more than capable off both tasks. the blade is 2mm hacksaw blade the grind is hand filed again and hand finished by me the handle is exotic hard wood with three stainless pins this knife feels very comfortable in the hand don't no whether its the shape or lightness of blade the wood is machine polished with polishing wax mite give it another polish i like to try all different methods of treating the handles on my knifes to see witch is best.waiting for you comments lads cheers stanley

A bush knife should also make a reasonable game knife and kitchen knife. It is one reason why I prefer a thinner blade.

By the looks of it i coud use it as both with no problems.

I bought a 4" drop point blade a guy made and used to skin a moose and deer.

At 1/8" thick I call it my lightweight hiking knife rather than hunting knife. However, I am thinking that I want a thicker scandi grind for use on wood and keep the drop point for food prep and hunting.

I'd say your's is a lightweight bush craft knife with some hunting use, great for getting into tight places on the animal.

In general, a very sharp knife if best saved for skinning so you don't have to stop and sharpen it cause you have been hacking wood all that week.
