My family-in-law couldn't be here for my birthday a couple of weeks back, but they came round today with...

Now just to work out which bits are edible... the latrine behind the tarp perhaps? :p

Two birthday celebtlrations Dewi! You must be like the Queen with an official one and normal one.
Cool cake, and happy birthday again.

Thank you :D

I'm a proper giddy kipper... they've come back from Barbados with presents, so I now have Bajan beer soap, a hand-rolled cigar and a ball of sugar (not quite sure what the last one is for, but it looks cool)

While they were away, I got an invitation through the post to drive a Ferrari 430 and a Lamborghini Gallardo for a few laps round a race circuit... so I'm a happy bunny :D

Cool presents. The sugar ball you just grate/chip off what you need. You've heard of sugar loaf?, as in sugar loaf mountain. Sugar used to be transported as a solid cake/lump to make it easier to transport. You grelated or pounded it down to the type of sugar you required. Soap & cigars... Sounds like a soak in the bath coming on. Have to get the wife to bring you rum drinks to set the scene. :D
Have fun on the track, gear box and clutch on those puppies take a bit of getting used to but very fun to drive.
All the best again,
GB.

Thank you :D

Didn't know that about the sugar... kind of makes sense now.

I think all the presents are for when I'm out camping... I always take a bottle of Kraken rum, hence the black bottle on the cake... when asked about ablutions, I was honest about digging a hole in the woods, so thats why the shovel and the 'poop' is on the cake and last time I came back from being out, I was a little stinky. I reckon the soap is a joke gift, but it looks like nice soap. And the cigar is because I took some cigars out, smoked a pack of them on night one... this cigar is huge... it'll take a good few hours to get through it. It is also flavoured with rum, which should be interesting! :D

Very excited about driving the cars. I went out on the drift circuit with the Stig a couple of years back as a gift, last year I had 80 laps of carting... but its been a bit of dream that I'd get to drive a Lamborghini... the Ferrari as well, I'm giddy as anything at the prospect of driving both. What I am very nervous about is I'm used to racing cars with sloppy steering... from what I've read about both those cars, they've both got assisted steering and are very precise. Given the fact its £1000 excess if I crash.. I don't reckon I'm going to be giving it the beans some how  The 0-60 on both is scary enough!
