A very interesting thread this,i read a fictional book when at school about this very thing happening,damn i wish i could remember the title as i would like to read it again.

Was it by any chance "The Coming Global Superstorm" by Whitby Strieber???

I doubt it Kath,i wish i could remember the books title.I read the book around 84/85 and i imagine it would have been wrote in the 1970s.What i can remember about it was the opening scenes in the book, where an animal,a caribou,raindeer or a bear was being hunted in an atric tundra like Britain,i think it may have even been a series of books and i just read the first.
