i've got three pairs of Swedish army boots circa 1960!! had 1 pair vibram soled by the local cobbler and use them regularly for work and heavy duty stuff,once the leather was broken in they became very comfortable and don't make my feet sweat unlike modern gortex lined boots!!! I love them the only downer is the weight but i'm a big lad so i've got used to it. only cost me 35quid each which is why i bought 3 pairs

Fell boots used by hill farmers and game keepers, i've had a pair for years they're not as uncomfortable as they look though pretty heavy but have fantastic grip, there biggest drawback is the leather soaks up water no mater how much dubbing you put on them, you always had to have two pair one on your feet while the other pair dried.
