On a Hennessey hammock the fly is attached to the ropes which suspend the hammock, by means of a prussic knot at either end.

I've got a HH and a GB hammock, TBH I'm not sure the assymetric shape of the HH fly would be suitable to cover a 'standard' shaped hammock - although I haven't tried it.

Hope the above explanation makes sense.

Thanks for that I'll give it a go and see what happens.

The standard HH fly is quite close to the hammock so gives it good coverage but with a normal hammock you would have to use a ridge line or bungies so the hammock will swing low below it so in a good wind and rain you will get wet. I know I tried it with a DD Hammock so now use the Hex fly which you can bring the sides down in bad weather. have you thought of the claytor DPM diamond fly it is big enough for a normal hammock but still has the look of the HH I changed mine on the Aysm deluxe HH i've got. http://www.mosquitohammock.com/junglehammock.html no connection just happpy camper.

Hope that helps.
