:D Yeah it took a long time to get an exact minature...

Andy - yes it is the original loop. A strange weave but it works OK

Just measured some and it's 0.82mm thick.

I'd like to get some thinner fibre as it's a bit thick to use on folders but on a fixed blade the proportions looks about right.
I got mine from a friend in the states but I need to get some more supplies and i was thinking about ordering from BRISA (they have a few thickness's) but I'm also looking for some large mosaic pin's (about 8mm) and some brass tubing of the same diameter and they don't list them.

Could be worth PMing Ccluckow over on BB about the mosaic pins as he's making them at the moment, and they are very nice.

You might try a model shop for brass tubing of all sorts of diameters - even different profiles if it come to it!
As for the fibre, does it have to be fibre or would plastic sheet do? If so you might try cutting plastic bottles/containers/folders up to get all sorts of coloured spacer material.
