Hi everyone! We're an international couple living in Patagonia: knifemaker Oscar from Argentina, Kristin from California. We live in a small cabin in the foothills of the Andes. Our lives are very rustic (woodfired house, etc). Oscar has been making knives for over 10 years (many of those years forging exclusively in coal), honoring traditional forging methods and producing what we call 'mountain blades' here in Spanish. No heavy machinery, no fancy steels, just the pure artistry (and artisanship) of a well-executed, hand-forged blade meant to last a lifetime. We're here because we love bushcraft (often hiking and exploring the mountains as you can see on our Instagram @forged.in.patagonia) and Oscar's knives may well interest members here.
