My gardening nepalese Kukiri is a lot less than 24 inches so presumably it's ok. Not that I'd dream of handing it in, too many memories of a fantastic trekking trip.

A kukri doesn't have a straight cutting edge so is outwith scope.

To be in scope, needs to have a blade length between 14 and 24 inches, have a primary straight cutting edge, a secondary straight cutting edge, a blunt spine and either a tanto or reverse tanto point.

The scope is actually defined tightly so it won't include things like kukris or for tham matter billhooks or skramas; even if the length is in scope, the blades are not straight, and they only have one cutting edge.

Thank you for that clarification, it has been bothering me, and gives me some peace of mind. I hadn't been able to get my head around the new rules.
I wouldn't ever take it out camping with me, but they do make pretty useful axes, so presumably would be legal in the right campsite context.
