Frosty morning paddle

A few weeks ago, my wife and I picked up a new canoe. We already have a larger prospector but we wanted something more suited to solo paddling the tight welsh rivers we have here, so when we saw this mad river 14 come up for sale we thought we’d try it.

well we’ve been busy for a while but today I managed to find some time to give it a go. I’d never paddled a craft with this specific hull design before so I went to our local lake for a little play around. I thought I would share some pictures with you all, it was a frosty morning but of course I warmed myself up with a couple of mince pies and a flask of coffee...

as you can see it was super chilly... I thought I’d do the cold end of the lake first that was still in shadow and then enjoy the sun, but the clouds came by the time I’d got round.
