I have just come back from a great weekend with Fraser Christian at his woods in Dorset.

There was only five of us in the end but we had a great time.

Nice catch up with the guys again.

Apart from eating like Kings we even had torrential rain and snow.

Some pics.

Cheers for a great weekend Fraser, Si, Steve and Rich.

The "young man" is me :)? and I'm using the new Chris Caine survival companion knife, a really nice bit of kit, with a fire rod and sharpening steel in the sheath, it belonged to our mate Simon, I hope to get one soon, and was thinking of doing a video review of it ???????? ;)

Fabulous pix. The flames are marvellous, and the fox and dormouse pix. Good looking grub too. What is the young man using to shave those sticks?

Damn! Snowball fights at dawn and I left early!

Great spending time with you guys and looking forward to doing it again. Great company, great food and great location.

Thanks to Fraser for his hospitality and to George for the Bow lessons.

Nice one.

I like the pic where your looking out of your hammock. Looks quality :). I have a hammock but not used it yet. Always been a tent guy.

I did actually spare a thought for you lot camped on the other side of the hill when it started lashing down Sunday morning and I was nice and snug in my cabin :) That was a bloody heavy storm followed up by snow!

Cheers guys.

The initial downpoar was intense. It woke me with a start. I could feel the spray through the mossie net and I have a True North Big tarp.

Waking again to the snow was special though as it was totally unexpected.

Cheers

George

Those hazelnuts look more like the work of a woodmouse. There are dormice in the area, but it doesn't look like it's done by one of them this time.

Nice pics George, really captured it well

Good to see Fraser in fine form too, but where's the lobster? :)

All good stuff, apart from the poo
