Now I know the discerning amongst you will be appalled, but some of the kit I have from here is actually pretty good.

For telescopic fishing rods are they any good? I don't know, but the fishing tent lives in the boot - kids out of the sun, fishing, impromptu nights out etc. Seam sealant repairs amazing things... May get a little rod to live in the boot with a small box of tackle - time to invest in a license again...

Actually the rods don't look that bad at all. They have ceramic eyes that look like they're tied on and not just glued too. I bought a telescopic from Argos and it pratically fell to pieces after a few weeks, the screw brackets that hold the reel on spilt and a couple of the eyes fell off!

I have a Shakespeare telescopic rod which shrinks down to 29 inches, have used this several times abroad.

I've had it ten years now and it is still working, just remember to keep the joints clean.
