Gents, due to the weather would it be more feasible to park up at the cafe or the layby and carry/pulk the kit in?

This is of course depends on the roads being cleared of any snow or not.

We should all pitch in for a quad and trailer. Now that would be fun! That or build a trebuchet to get the gear in quick. Lack of dry access seems to be the norm with all these meets.
