Hi all
I have only recently gotten into the bushcraft scene however i have been going up the woods with friends since i was about 7 or 8 (now 15). Anyway after being on the forum for a while and watching youtube videos i have been dying to get up the woods, i just haven't had a free weekend for what seems like forever. So armed with some kit that i have accumulated over the years and through being a cadet, i grabbed a can of beans from the cupboard and headed to the woods.
I suppose i better start the thread with a picture of myself

After watching this series of videos i thought that this chair would be something nice and relatively easy to get myself started with. But i didn't bring enough para cord with me, so couldn't finish it... :cussing:
Anyway here is how far i got with it, and i will be back to finish.

There is some long-horned cattle somewhere to, but i didn't get a glimpse of them today.

In the 7 or 8 years i have been coming to these woods, i have never found this field before

I then cooked up my lunch, walked a bit more and headed home.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, :You_Rock_
Sam.

The banks of the Deveron.
A good day out by the look of it. The only things that matter are that you enjoyed yourself and went home in one piece.

Being old and a worrier, I always wear my trousers rolled down as I'm worried about Lyme's.

That 'field' is likely to be an area where the trees have been cropped but not replanted yet. That would explain why you hadn't seen it before.
The ponies are grullo or blue dun colour, its not that common so they are likely related to each other.
Good trip tho' I hope you enjoyed it.

Looks like a cracking day out Sam. I love to wander about (usually aimlessly) and having a wee project and some grub makes it all the better. Funny had a real craving for beans of late - can't get enough of them.
