I'm sure most of you are familiar with the Kent Axe pattern, found all over Britain in car boot sales and ebay listings.
But the name Kent Axe pattern suggests to me that the Kent axes must have been different to other traditional axe patterns in the UK.
Does anyone know of any other old English axe patterns, because I have never come across a single one!
It seems odd that there are so many billhook patterns from seemingly every county, but only the one axe pattern.
Anyone know any more about this?
