Metacil metal pencil - 16k of writing without sharpening.

Kaweco sport fountain pens for a bit of compact luxury! Screw off the sealing, big cap, post it on the end and you've got almost a full sized fountain pen. Screw the cap on tight it shouldn't leak and it's pocketable. Plus German made / designed. Germans and Japanese make good pens. These are also cheap for fountain pens too.
The Kaweco sport is my choice too. Love a fountain pen.

The Uni Power Tank Ballpoint Pen has proven to be a winner for me for pocket carry.

I have a few scattered about and they’re brilliant, pressurized so upside down, on wet paper etc.

Dear @Woody girl sent me a handmade Paduk wood pen that’s getting all the use now. Initially it seemed thicker than I’d like, but that’s just to my own eyes and what I think looks good, it’s the most comfortable thing so I dropped a Schmidt gel refill in and it writes beautifully, no cramping in my fingers which was definitely being caused by me liking the look of slim pens.

I get a box of these occasionally and scatter them throughout cars, desks, notebooks, kits, etc. To me the perfect size of slimness, the right amount of click, a bit of history and cheap enough to lose. The US Government Skilcraft pen...available in black and blue.

How they compare to TWSBI?
I have not used TWSBI pens so can't offer a comparison. In the past I have used Sheaffer, Parker pens as well as Rotring and Staedtler draughting pens. None of them were as good as the Kawesco sport I use now. Also, the sport is reasonably priced.
