i know this has been covered before but is there a thread or discussion on how to get photo's from my computer to this website?

if not could some one explaine it to me as if you were speaking to your granny, i.e. laymans terms, no jargon?

hosting the image online this can be done on the BCUK gallery and this is the best place for your bushcraftin type photos, or secondly you can host your pictures on a dedicated image hosting site such as www.photobucket.com (there is an un-offical BCUK account pm me for details) from here you will get the option to upload the image from your computer to the online server..

once the image is hosted online in one of these areas it will have its own url address.. such as http://www.bushcraftuk.net/community/images/misc/bcuklogo.gif this is the important bit for posting an image to make the image url address appear in your post you need to 'wrap' with image commands which look like this
on BCUK you can press this
insertimage.gif
button and it will generate the script for you. so you should end up something like this
[IMG*]http://www.bushcraftuk.net/community/images/misc/bcuklogo.gif[/IMG*]
you will notice that i have placed '*' in the command this is so that it does not preform its function and you can see it correctly had i left them out it would look like this
[img]http://www.bushcraftuk.net/community/images/misc/bcuklogo.gif

im not sure if granny would understand that, i hope she would but it a bit of a babble... any further clarification needed just ask and someone in the know will be able to explain.
