December Meet At Colehayes Report!

Hi, well here are a few pics and a liitle nonsense, of the latest meet, a bit different as so many new faces, which was great, as usual photos tell most of the story, sorry if along the way i forget a few names.
We had a good time, lots of archery, shooting, Dartmoor walking and a great shelter inspired by Geoff, who slept in it the first night, then Mike had the second night, the reports back were "toasty thankyou" Lots of great banter around the fireside and think most will be back for some more.

Tales to tell along the way, but for now have a gander at the pics, as always all comments good or bad, very welcome.

Hey Paul! You must have a jet! To get home so soon. Great pics mate, thanks for coming, i must get a better camera and not sell it! Pic 13 of yours tells a tale, Dear Bill, deciding on around fire sing song, before somebody told him he was trying to play a lurcher/greyhound cross and not a guitar!

Yet again another great meet well done to Ivan for arranging a meet of motley people from all walks having a great time and sharing stories and knowledge. Arrived early Friday to be greeted by our host and his helper, Kaya, who I have ti say wiulx make Ribin hood think twice with a bow. Congrats to Mr Newman on his superb hand made bow and for letting me play with said bow bloody powerful thing that. Not sure why Kaya would not let me put an apple on his head. Anyways as usual a great time and thanks again you silver haired foxy stoat for a great weekend. And thank you for the borrow of your tent. Thankfully with not you in it. Must have been that BFC Friday nnightfall the best and looking forward to the next one

Just popped in to say thank you for a great weekend, and for all your hard work.
Made us feel very welcome, couldn't wish to meet a more friendly easy going man.
Good to meet the other guys and gals too.

I wont spill the beans about the water container mate, we will keep that a secret between us.....the last thing you want is a load of Pee takers getting wind of this story.

My lips are sealed.

It was also nice to meet all the other guys, and hope to build friendships along the track as time goes on.

Right! I am going to answer the container question, Bill and Matt turned up in camp with a brand new container, just like the knackered on i have photographed, and asked if i could get them some water, not a problem i was going on a water run anyway, drove the 1/2 mile or so to the pure spring water supply, undid the cap on their container, and thought blimey! It's a faulty one as it was sealed, i did not realise they come with an antispill insert, so what to do?

I was going to cut it out, then thought no, they might want to take it back for a refund!
So filled my other containers up and wandered back into camp announcing the fact that they had given me a duff container, imagine the belly laughs, when they pointed out to me the insert.

Oh how we laughed, well those buggers did!!

Sounds like a really good meet. Love the hammock+pallet, looks like a good idea, might do the same meself next time. And that lurcher is gorgeous . No Nutmeg ... ???
