Dead rabbits

Today I stumbled upon a strange sight. I have a couple of old metal sheets that I've left out for snakes to bask under and today I looked under them to find at least four dead rabbit kits, probably little more than a week or two old. One had a head missing and another was in parts.

I'm assuming stoat or weasel, but would they raid a burrow and then hide dead bodies in a place for use later?

Any other culprits?

I have some pics but probably not worth posting up unless they are required.

Feral cat would be my thought...

I have had mustelid and cat kills in the garden and they look quite different. I could post photos but they are a bit gory?

I come across kills like that all the time under artificial reptile refugia. We've caught weasels stashing them as they've been lifted up. Like a small massacre with the murderer still present. One even stood his ground and came at me.

Thanks for the replies. So, it does sound like our local mustlid then. We have stoats or weasels playing around in the area and often dashing on front of cars so they sound most likely.
