Exactly that Chris. It is about a 10 minute walk with somewhere to park 'non 4x4' vehicles. My Land Rover popped it's cloggs in the summer with a blown big end so it would be good if there were at least 1 4x4 just to transport provisions etc.

..For teaching purposes, with the wind blowing a hooly, we need to get close enough to hear what is being said out on the moor.
Loads of room tho by the looks, so if the 'teaching bit is done inside and is is more just bit of a meet....it doesn't matter so much.

It was on my mind earler, Chris. I resolved my fears with the following mental reasoning:
Its a few months away yet.
Not everyone will want to be engaged with navigation and can just chill
There is shed loads of accommodation space and camping space.
For night navigation I can split the group into Friday and Saturday night.
I need to go away for a couple of days so I will just be on my phone. Later in the week I shall start putting togeter an email 'group' so that we can share exactly what people's aspirations are... I really am quite accepting of peolple's views if all they want to do is chill out and have a tin of beer
Having said that, the eventual group number will be dictated by the amount that want to be 'active'. So, in short, your right
