If there is an issue between two different bloggers or forums, let them sort it out.

If there is already 'bad blood' and history between two protagonists, then let them get on with it.

Bringing up an old argument (2012 in the last instance) is not helpful.

I come here to learn and to get ideas for things to do or make.

Don't know the story behind Toddy's post but the MOD's has a hard time making this a lovely place to visit and be. Hope folk aren't thinking things will be relaxed as the MOOT looms and some MODS will be offline.

It's a great place and hopefully folk can discuss things rather than get into a slanging match. So cheers for the hard work moderating Toddy and keep up the good work.

We have favourite sites up here, but there's no 'closed access', iimmc., and the Moot site at Merthyr is a woodland on sand, and that's brilliant. No real fire risk, easy to put up tents, hammocks, chutes and so on, and it dries out quickly even if it pours. Hard to find all that here complete with running water and decent sewerage and still be easily accessible for folks too.

Merthyr's great, it's just that it's so far away for me. Around eight hours drive, and with elderly family really not well, it's a long way to go to have to maybe just come right back

Maybe it's time to find sites and suggest them to the Boss

You could fly surely as the cheapest and quickest, or take the train. I would not advise the coach as that 8 hours soon turns into 16 all at the coaches mercy, cooped up in a small seat. Have a look how much a plane ticket is.

If your biggest concern is getting back at people on the Internet, you need to re evaluate your priorities.

petrochemicals; the Moot is a brilliant event, and since I want to socialise and chill out I take a chute and a full fire set up as well as masses of stuff for teaching.
There's no way to fly that lot down outside of a Hercules

In fairness to those who posted the removed threads; they didn't know that the arguement had already been done and dusted (and caused hassle then) here a couple of years ago.
